Reefnetting

An eco-friendly fishing method practiced at Lummi Island and in the San Juans. Fish are harvested with near zero by catch with management by the International Frasier River Panel for sustainability. We harvest four species of wild salmon; Sockeye, 5-7 lbs., available in August, Pink, 3-5 lbs., available in August only in odd years (e.g., 2021), Coho (Silver), 5-12 lbs., available in late September and early October, and Chum, 10-23 lbs., available in early October.
